It certainly doesn't deserve the self-conscious sneering it gets from some quarters these days anyway... Okay, so maybe the actual albums by the likes of Menswear, Sleeper, Echobelly, Shed Seven, etc, don't quite bear repeated listens anymore, but there are many damn fine singles to be played over and and over and over, and those many, many tunes are good enough for me...<BR/>Have you read John Harris's Britpop bible, "The Last Party"?
